Navigating through model

You can easily navigate through the running model using the Model Navigation toolbar in the developer panel of the model window:

The Model Navigation toolbar contains buttons for easy navigation through the launched model:

Icon Command Description
up one level Shows the presentation of the parent (owner) of the currently displayed agent (for the top-level agent, this is the experiment). This button is disabled when the experiment’s presentation is currently displayed.
to experiment (start page) Shows the presentation of the launched experiment. This button is disabled when the experiment presentation is already displayed.
to top level (root) agent Shows the presentation of the top-level agent of the launched experiment. This button is disabled if the presentation of the top-level agent is currently displayed.
select agent to dive in

The list provides easy navigation and quick access to the agents living inside the agent whose presentation is currently shown in the model window. Select here the agent whose presentation you want to open in the model window.

In case you navigate to an agent population, a special control appears to the right of the Model Explorer:

Here you can specify the index of the particular element of this population you want to be displayed in the model window.

Enter the index in the edit box or use arrows to the right to increment or decrement the currently chosen index.

If you dynamically add or remove some agents to or from a population, these changes are automatically displayed in the Model Explorer.

This list shows only those agents that are located below the currently selected agent in the model hierarchy. If you need to navigate up the model hierarchy (one level up, or to the top-level agent, or to the presentation of the experiment), use the buttons described above.
