Space is widely used in agent-based models. Even in the models where location and movement of agents are not important from the model logic viewpoint, space is often used to visualize the agents.

AnyLogic supports three types of space:

• Continuous three-dimensional space
• Discrete space (grid of cells)
• GIS space (Geographic Information System)
