Managing model elements

You may exclude some elements and/or their names from the presentation diagram while still keeping them in the model.

To hide or show the element name on a presentation diagram

  1. Select the model element in the graphical editor or in the Projects view.
  2. In the element properties (or in the Advanced section), clear/check the Show name check box.

To hide or show the element at the model runtime

  1. Select the model element in the graphical editor or in the Projects view.
  2. In the element properties (or in the Advanced section), select yes or no for the Visible option.

You may temporarily exclude any element from the model. This option is very useful for debugging your model since you can adjust your model structure by excluding one element and including other ones at the design time. The excluded elements are still present on the graphical editor diagram, and can be added back to the model any time you need.

To exclude or add the model element from or to the model

  1. Select the model element in a graphical editor or in the Projects view.
  2. In the element properties, clear/check the Ignore checkbox.
