Charts

AnyLogic is equipped with a rich set of graphics to efficiently present both simulation output and simulation runtime data. The charts can be linked to parameters, variables, or data analysis objects (such as data sets, statistics and histogram data), and displayed at runtime as a part of the model UI.

Here we use the generic term chart for both conventional charts and histograms. Histograms accept data samples, perform statistical processing and display the results in the form of PDF, CDF, mean, etc., reflecting all samples ever added to the histogram. Charts display the current values of the data items, some also display the recent history.

To build your charts faster, you can use the Create Chart feature. It’s available with a right-click on an element: as a submenu for data items and as a wizard for blocks and space markup elements in the Material Handling Library and the Process Modeling Library.

All visual properties (colors, scale, grid, legend, etc.) can be configured at design time or changed programmatically. Data items can be dynamically added or removed from the charts. You can copy the data from any component as text by using the context menu or an API.

All the charts available in AnyLogic are listed below. The types are similar to those of MS Excel.

Simple charts

Charts with history

Histograms
