Installing Team License Server on Windows

System requirements

  • Operating system:
    Windows 11 / 10 / 8 / 7 / Vista
    Windows Server 2022 / 2019 / 2016 / 2012 / 2008 / 2003
  • RAM: 4 GB or more
  • CPU: Intel Core i3 or equivalent (Core i5 recommended)
  • Available disk space: 1 GB
  • A working USB port (if the USB key is used for the product activation)

It is recommended that you use the machine with the static IP address. Ports 8080 and 8443 should be open and available on that machine.

To work with the web interface, you need to have one of the following browsers installed and up-to-date: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Microsoft Edge. We recommend using Google Chrome for the best experience.

We strongly recommend that you install Team License Server on a dedicated server machine, not a personal computer. Because product keys are hardware-bound, they must be requested from the machine that will host Team License Server.

Installation

Before installing the new version of Team License Server, make sure it is compatible with your product versions. See the release notes for details.
  1. Having purchased the bundle of floating AnyLogic licenses, you will receive to the Team License Server installation file.
Otherwise, you can download it from the following link:
    https://www.anylogic.com/files/ls/anylogic-team-license-server-3.3.0.exe
Run the installation file. This action requires administrator privileges. If you do not have them, right-click the file and select Run as administrator from the context menu.
  2. Follow the instructions of the installation wizard. You will be asked to specify the HTTP port number to be used by the server connection. If the wizard tells you that the specified port is not available, specify a different port number.

This will install Team License Server as a Windows service under a system account. The installation consists of Apache Tomcat (a servlet container and web server), USB dongle drives, and a server application itself.
